Delray Beach Police Arrest Delray Beach Civic Leader Scott Porten At Palm Beach International Airport For Possession Of Kiddie Porn
Delray Beach Police have arrested Delray Beach Civic Leader Scott Porten on December 11, 2025. Deputies took Porten into custody at Palm Beach County International Airport when he arrived home on a flight from Maine Thursday night.
Police allege that on September 16th, Porten downloaded sexually explicit photos of a prepubescent girl to his Dropbox account.
The photos consisted of:
- 4 pictures of the prepubescent girl squating or sitting on a log exposing her genitalia.
- 3 pictures of the same prepubescent girl engaging in sex activity with an older white male.
Delray Beach Police began investigating a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children on November 28, 2025. The NCMEC had received information about the download from Dropbox. Dropbox later identified the account as belonging to Porten.
The South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Comcast confirmed the IP address of the computer. The computer was located at Porten’s posh $9 million home at 112 Basin Drive in Delray Beach.
Delray Beach Police received a warrant December 1, 2025. As a result, they searched Porten’s home and computer.
On Monday, December 8, 2025, the Palm Beach State Attorney has charged Porten with 11 counts of possession of CSAM. In addition to one count of transmitting CSAM. As a result, they issued an arrest warrant for Porten.
Porten was in Maine at the time.
Law enforcement was able to find out Porten’s return flight information. They used that information to arrest him at Palm Beach International Airport.
Scotten Porten is a prominent civic leader in Delray Beach. He was President of the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past chairman of Old School Square.
Porten claims he’s indigent and has requested a public defender. Hmmmm….
