Cruise Ship Youth Counselor Cris John Pentinio Castor Criminally Charged With Sexually Abusing Four 6-Year Old Girls
A cruise ship youth counselor admitted to sexually abusing at least four 6-year old girls during a cruise.
Authorities charged 35-year old Cris John Pentinio Castor after a 6-year-old girl stepped forward.
The federal complaint states Castor was working on Celebrity Silhouette. Silhouette is a cruise ship for Celebrity Cruises. The incidents all during a route through various nations in the Caribbean Sea last month.
The ship departed from the Port Everglades seaport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 20, 2023, The ship made its way through different countries before returning to Port Everglades on Nov. 30.
Authorities said the victim’s father made a complaint to the youth center’s program manager on Nov. 27. This would have been about when the Silhouette made its way to St. Johns in Antigua and Barbuda.
Court records indicate one of 6-year-old girls attending the ship’s youth center told the program manager that “CJ” touched her private parts. Castor is known as CJ to crewmembers and the youth center children.
A forensic investigator spoke to the girl after the ship returned to Port Everglades. Authorities say the girl stated the abuse happened when she was playing a video game.
The FBI wrote in the report:
Castor allegedly admitted to authorities that he victimized at least three other children in addition to the 6-year-old.
The FBI says Castor also admitted to the inappropriate sexual touching of other minor children on multiple occasions. He also consciously hid his acts from the Youth Center’s security cameras. Furthermore, Castor admitted to inappropriately touching at least three additional minor children in their vaginal area.
Online records show Castor has been at the Broward County Jail since November 30, 2023. Castor is also a Philippine citizen and is on an immigration hold.
